THE ARCHITECTURE OF PRESENCE

The Architecture of Presence

What if we spent much of our lives searching for what

was already here?

We search for love, peace, meaning, awareness—sometimes elsewhere,

sometimes tomorrow, often in the extraordinary.

Meanwhile, life unfolds.

A meeting.

A decision.

A silence.

A separation.

An outstretched hand.

A refusal.

A cup still warm in our hands.

What if Presence were hidden precisely there?

This book offers neither doctrine nor method. It explores the great

experiences of life—loving, meeting others, serving without

wanting to save, discerning, letting go, growing old, facing fear and

ultimately looking death in the face—with one requirement:

not to pretend we know what we do not know.

For perhaps Presence begins precisely when we

stop trying to explain everything and learn to look.

Then a question arises:

Are we truly present to the life we are living

right now?

And when, at the end of the road, form itself disappears, one

last question remains:

we wonder what comes after death... but do we even know

what came before our birth?

We do not know.

But we can search.

And perhaps discover along the way that Presence was not at the

end of the journey.

It was there from the very beginning.
